We had a really great weekend, the weather was beautiful! We celebrated our St. Patty's Day with a traditional Irish dinner outside on our patio and sipped Bailey's martinis!

Woke up Saturday morning to a knock at the door, our amazing neighbor surprised Matt & I with yummy sprinkled donuts for breakfast! 

 

Received my free drink coupon from Starbucks, Pumpkin Spice latte please!

 

My BFF/Supermodel Sister surprised me from Tucson for my family baby shower!

Such a treat to do a little pampering with My Mom & Sister

 

Attended a UofA Alumni event to watch the Cats face off Oregon

 

Had my Family baby shower & everything was so beautiful & pink of course! I'm a lucky girl!

My Cousin Lauren made the best homemade popcorn in these Ready To Pop canisters, sooo cute! 

Lauren also hand painted me an abstract of a pregnant woman to represent fertiliy & it will always remind me of my baby girl & my preganacy experience. She is going to add the baby's name, weight, birth date, etc... and frame for me.  Is that the most amazing present or what, I was blown away & I love her!

Love this time of year in AZ with summer storms and gorgeous sunsets!

Trying out this Nivea daily moisturizer and gradual sunless tanner.  It smells great and so far so good, very subtle looking.

 This painting has a lot of meaning to me, I bought it back in college while I was traveling through Europe on Semester at Sea. While we were docked in Russia we bought tickets to see the Russian ballet showing of The Black Swan. It was breathtaking, stunning, beautiful, exquisite... an experience to remember. After the show I bought this ballerina painting from a street vendor to remind me of that night.  I just pulled it out of storage at my Dad's house, had it framed, & now it hangs perfectly in our baby girls nursery!

THE GRUMP & THE BUMP

Being pregnant has called for more family time at home on the weekends.  Matt and I have been little homebodies watching movies, getting take-out, painting the nursery, planting citrus trees & flowers, long mornings in bed talking...the list goes on!  Lute has been loving spending so much time with us & has been doing a little nesting himself.   In the middle of the night when my bladder calls, I get up surprised to see an empty dog bed next to our bed.  Where is Lute?? Half asleep I stumble through the house looking for him only to find him fast asleep on the floor in the baby's room. He knows something is happening & wants to be where the action is!    

So when the weekend is over and we are back to our busy work week he gets a little upset. So this morning as I was pulling out of the driveway I said goodbye to him from my car. He wouldn't even look at me, he gave me the total cold shoulder.  Made me laugh...I snapped this pic of THE GRUMP!

Here is a picture of THE BUMP at 16 weeks it's kinda freaking me out because I feel like I popped this past week.

OH BABY

I have some big news to share with all of you...Matt & I are expecting!!! I am 13 weeks and due this Oct 6th. Hopefully this news will make up for my lack of posts!  My head has been in the clouds & on my pillow thanks to first trimester fatigue.  We are so excited and I can't wait to share this journey with all of you!

Health & Fitness
I have been hiking 2x a week and walking on other days that I have time.  Staying hydrated is super important while pregnant I learned my lesson last weekend when I almost fainted after a hike with my Mom. That is one pregnancy symptom that I do have is feeling dizzy & light headed in the mornings when I get up.
 I am rigid with my vitamins & I am trying to relax and get lots of rest.  Taking naps on the weekends is my favorite thing, it's truly amazing! As far as weight gain I haven't gained any yet but I am working on eating healthy and listening to my body's needs!
