RECENT PURCHASE

Just bought 2 of these West Elm pillow covers off of Ebay.  I have been on the hunt for the perfect pillows for our house and I fell in love with these.  I like the modern orange pattern on top & the gold and white ikat on the bottom it's the perfect mix, plus it's made of silk to dress things up a bit.  The gold tones will make my newly painted gold stool really POP!  There are 3 more left if any of you want one.  I will take a picture and review them once i get them.

*Nice pillows but they can be found on West Elm's SALE section of their website and unfortunately I think I am sending mine back I don't like them with the color of our couch.

DECOR MADNESS

HOUSE #1
Loving this Spanish inspired home. Every room seems perfectly thought out for an easy laid back lifestyle.

This is their son Cruz's bedroom

Complete with a hanging chair & cloth headboard that he personalized with his crayons.  I think it's a super fun kids room.

Digging this extra long lumbar pillow made from an old spanish blanket.

Cool and Casual Living Room

HOUSE #2
This house is so eclectic and vibrant.  The attention to detail and the use of color in every room is so amazing.  I love the greens, pinks, & blues together it is unexpected. It reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw meets Samantha Jones sexy and chic.

I am such a huge fan of these rugs, I want one BAD!

She has personalized matches for guests & entertaining.

This seating arrangement by the bookshelf is great with a cowhide rug.

 Love these green lamps.

These royal blue velvet dining chairs are super rich

GOLDEN TOUCH

All of these amazing spaces have a gold accent piece that adds a little sparkle & a lot of interest.

So I decided to add the GOLDEN TOUCH to our living room by spraying an old industrial stool we had in our kitchen.

I LOVE IT!

ITALIAN CRAVINGS

1. It all started with this caprese salad I had for lunch from Pane Bianco.  It is the sister restaurant to the very well known Pizzeria Bianco.  It was so fresh & light, it also came with fresh bread and a creamy mint for dessert but I ate mine in the car before I could take a picture! http://www.pizzeriabianco.com/
2. I had some left over mozzarella from my salad so I decided to make a pizza for dinner the following day. Here are the steps & ingredients, it was really yummy and super easy!
STEP 1
Lightly brush the entire thin crust Boboli pizza with olive oil
STEP 2
Sprinkle a thin layer of shredded mozzarella & parmesan
STEP 3
Add the fresh mozzarella, a little goes a long way *this makes the pizza amazing
STEP 4
I added 5 slices of prosciutto it shrinks up after baking
STEP 5
Add fresh basil, I bought a basil plant to keep in our kitchen for cooking

STEP 6
Bake for 10 minutes & serve

While we are on the topic of cooking and being in the kitchen I took a picture of our new dish towel from West Elm, I love the fringe on the bottom and the modern stripes.

HOMEMADE BEEF JERKY

This beef jerky recipe is so EASY and will be a big hit!  Could make a great gift for Father's Day, long car trips, tailgating, or just a quick & healthy snack.  I use my food dehydrator for this but you can also bake in your oven.

Ingredients:
London Broil sliced into strips *I ask our grocery butcher to cut for me
Soy Sauce, Worsteshire Sauce, or any Lawry's Marinade or a combo of all 3
Seasoned Pepper
Cayenne Pepper
Red Chili Peppers

Directions:
Pour in enough marinade to cover the strips of beef in a large Ziploc, let sit overnight, the next day lay each strip out 1/2 inch apart on trays & sprinkle with seasonings above to your desired level of spice, turn on dehydrator and let cook over night or approx 10-12 hours until done.
