LULU LEMON

Now that the weather has cooled down, I am so motivated to be more active and enjoy the outdoors!  My Hubby and I have been hiking, walking our German Shepherd Lute, & riding our bikes to dinner or a friends house.  Which has made me re-evaluate my active/workout clothes, I desperately need a few new pieces that are sporty yet comfortable.  Of course I want everything from Lulu Lemon but here are a few of my top picks for me & the hubby!  I am sure he will be thrilled when he sees that they are matching, which was a total coincidence! I swear I am not that corny:)

MAD ABOUT MOCCASINS

Minnetonka Moccasins have been around forever yet for some reason I have never bought a pair.  I have thought about buying a pair on numerous vacations but thought once I got home I would never wear them.  You know how that goes when you are on vacation you buy board shorts/bikinis in California, silver jewelry in Mexico, and Moccasins when you are in Sedona, Minnesota, etc...  Now I want a pair BAD!! Throw them on to go grocery shopping, slip on to wear to my spin class, lounging around the house, & or pair with jeans and a sweater to run errands.
The 1st & 2nd pair are from http://www.nordstrom.com/.  The 3rd pair is from http://www.jcrew.com/

BED TIME

SPRING & SUMMER

FALL & WINTER

Time to switch it up....pack up your summer sheets & pull out your winter blankies!  You can really change a bedroom by simply changing the bedding.  I have the yellow and white Pottery Barn bedding pictured in the first photo.  It is light, bright, and summery...the yellow makes the room feel happy.  For winter I want to get something with a deeper color and add warmth to the room.  I am really digging the gray & off white bedding it seems rich and dramatic.  Throw a quilt at the end of the bed and cuddle up with a book or some good ole reality TV!

Happy Friday!

JUDITH LEIBER

My mom introduced me to Judith Leiber when I was planning my wedding over a year and a half ago & I have been in awe ever since.  Her handbags are truly a piece of art!  Her collection consists of the classic clutches, novelty, and crystal patterns.  I chose a few pieces from each so you can get a general idea as to what you can expect from her.  These STUNNERS are found at http://www.judithleiber.com/ & Gilt is having a sale on a few of her handbags today.  CHECK IT OUT! http://www.gilt.com/invite/kristin558

1 cup Fingernails
2 Fangs

COPY CAT

Pictures:
 1. Pottery Barn $119
2. Target's Cream Flokati Throw $12.99

So I absolutely love Pottery Barn's tree skirts because they are classic, simple,  & they can be monogrammed.  Unfortunately I don't own one:(  The one we have stored in our attic is one of those god awful red and green felt tree skirts from Walgreens (I was desperate last year).   I don't even want to look at it when we pull down our X-Mas decorations because in my eyes it takes away from our perfect tree!

Since I know the PB skirt will go on sale after Christmas I decided to come up with a substitute for now & who knows I might love it?!  The cream throw from Target is a perfect match!  You can use it as a throw on the couch & then drape it around the base of the tree during the holiday season. It creates a snow like affect and it saves me $106!!

HAIR TODAY GONE TOMORROW

My current hair style most resembles Whitney Ports.  I really like the look of letting your natural growth from the roots blended with a lighter/brighter shade at the crown to the ends.   I have been working with my fabulous hairstylist Alyana at Zolton's salon to achieve this look and I think I am almost there.  Now that winter is approaching I think it is a great time to give your hair a break from color and go a bit darker.
I am also digging bangs at the moment but I am not sure if I am ready just yet!  Here are a few pictures for inspiration.

PEAR TREE

So I am planning ahead and starting to think about our holiday cards this year.  Last year I used our wedding picture which was perfect but this year I want to do something fun.  I came across this super cute website http://www.peartreegreetings.com/.  not sure if I can decide on just one!  Happy Monday!

PERFECTION

Riding boots are a staple item for every girls wardrobe.  They look sophisticated, keep your feetsies warm, and are oh so comfortable.  I am dying for these Ciao Bella boots because I like that they are two toned...so many options with these!  No need to pack brown and black boots now these cover all the bases.  These boots retail for around $179 but you can purchase them from http://www.dsw.com/ for $99 with free shipping!  Thank goodness for lunch breaks because I will be headed to the DSW store by my office to pick up a pair!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

CUCUMBER LIME SALAD

I am trying to watch my Carbs and so while browsing at Whole Foods at lunch today I came across a yummy cucumber salad at the cold deli counter.  You pretty much have to love cucumbers because it is the main ingredient!  I memorized the list of the ingredients because it looked so ridiculously simple to copy at home.  Here are the rough ingredients, the seasoning will have to be to taste because I don't have the measurements:)  Helpful right?!?

Ingredients:
2 Cucumbers peeled and cut into wedges (bite sized)
1/2 Red Pepper thinly sliced and diced
3 Green onions diced
2-3 Limes - juice only
Fresh Cilantro -handful
Sea salt
White pepper
Olive oil

I would cut the cucumbers, red peppers, green onions, and cilantro.... place in serving bowl.  Next I would mix in a separate bowl the lime juice, olive oil, sea salt, and white pepper.  Adding a little at a time until the desired tangy/tartness that you like!  Pour over the cucumbers and mix thoroughly... ENJOY!

WINTER WHITE

I LOVE the look of winter white/ivory it is so crisp and classic looking.  I think it looks flattering on all skin types and hair colors.  You don't want to know the prices of any of the items above (trust me) because they are BUDGET BLOWERS!  I posted these pictures strictly for inspiration because they are out of this world expensive but gorgeous to look at.  I will be looking to add some winter white to my wardrobe once I find a budget friendly version!

WINTER WONDERLAND

So I may be getting ahead of myself but it did HAIL here in Arizona yesterday!  So now I am in full swing holiday/winter mode.  Winter to me means fires in the fireplace which we don't have so I substitute with lots of pretty candles, a warm cozy blanket, and holiday decorations EVERYWHERE!  I found all of the items above at one of my favorite stores West Elm.  The mercury votive candles add a little sparkle for only $5.  The faux fur blankets are luxurious looking and are $119 each.  The plush pom pom blanket is priced at $59.  Lastly, my two favorite pieces are the wood deer & moose wall art.  I have never seen anything like them and of course they are animal friendly.  The deer is $12 and the moose head is $28.  I am most definitely going to buy the reindeer for Christmas time!
